WHO WE ARE
The Action Biz is an innovative initiative funded by the Government of Alberta’s CARES Grant. The project aims to promote cultural tourism in Alberta through a three-phase approach. The first phase involves researching and gaining a better understanding of the cultural tourism market. The second phase brings together supporters of cultural tourism to collaborate on ways to support new and existing entrepreneurs in the industry. Finally, the third phase provides support to entrepreneurs through industry connections, product development, and identifying target demographics, among other resources. The Action Biz is an offshoot of the Action for Healthy Communities’ Entrepreneur/Business Support Program and is dedicated to promoting cultural heritage and tourism in the area of Edmonton, Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Cold Lake, and Lac La Biche.
